Hi, I'm Mau
It all started with frustration and despair with how disconnected we have become with the only home we know, planet Earth. Like most people I love to travel, enjoy eating different food and I also aspire to live simpler.
However, I quickly realized that many people shared the same disaffection, there is a lot of good as well as false information out there about sustainable and simple living.
I noticed I could provide clear, simple and genuine information to help get others on the path to a
zero-waste, well-balanced and simple lifestyle that contributes to your happiness as well as a healthier environment.
I invite you to join me on this journey where I’ll passionately share stories and lifehacks. Let’s strive together for a fairer, greener Earth for all.
The Story Behind the Blog
Before I talk about the intentions behind this blog, first let me tell you how it all started. I’m just an ordinary guy from the UK trying to make Mother Earth happy as much as I can and if long the way I can inspire people to feel more connected with nature then that’s a small step in the right direction.
My aspiration towards living a less wasteful and healthier lifestyle happened whilst travelling around 30 countries. Now I live in Japan and it has certainly made me rethink my relationship with the Earth. Now you might be wondering, why did I travel to the other side of the world to figure all this out. One of the great things about travelling is that you get to meet different people and hear incredible stories.
Honestly, when I was back in the UK, I was in my bubble and didn’t fully understand or pay much attention to living a less wasteful and more sustainable life. This is how I came up with the name mylilEarth. We all have our own little bubble, world or environment and within our individual spaces, we can make better choices. Of course, we can't always influence others, but we can certainly change our thinking and actions in little ways.
When I started talking to people about their habits and what they are doing to live a greener life, I noticed that many people were just as confused and uncertain as I was.
I realized many people were stuck and didn’t know how to start their journey. On the other hand, I gained valuable advice and knowledge from activists, educators as well as ordinary people willing to share their experiences.
In a nutshell, this is how mylilEarth came about, I could have kept all this information to myself, but what’s the good in that? I created this blog so it’s easier for you to make conscious decisions and live happily with Mother Earth.
Finally, I’m always looking to collaborate and write about new stories and journeys, so please feel free to get in touch.
